The Manager, Partnership Accountability will be a point of accountability within Global Development for the execution of processes in support of identifying financial efficiencies across Innovative Medicine (Janssen) Research & Development’s multi-million dollar business partnerships and outsourcing activities. This will include, but is not limited to, Contract Research Organizations (CRO), Central/Special Laboratories, Investigator Sites and other R&D related service categories with an annual spend in excess of $1B.
This role will partner with Innovate Medicine Research & Development Procurement, Finance and other leaders to develop and implement a clinical partnership budget accountability strategy. This will include ensuring execution of related category contracts and business process oversight.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collation and data curation of partner budget(s) in coordination with procurement and operational/functional teams.
- Craft data inputs in support of operations and commercial governance frameworks and approaches, including oversight, service level expectations/adjudication and critical issue pathways.
- Support for collating partner budget forecasting including actual services completed, remaining budget and potential scope changes. Coordinate with internal functions to address partner actuals and forecasting as vital.
- Provide mentorship and ensuring alignment with Johnson & Johnson policies and standards related to business partners, including applicable clinical operations practices.
- Serve as a transparent and effective change agent for global initiatives and will seek to provide strategic decision-making for all areas of responsibility while fostering the ideas of others.
- Support Partnership Accountability strategies inclusive of, as well as, be a primary contributor to issue identification, review and resolution processes.
- Global champion and engagement strategy, continuous improvement projects that promote individual development, team development, development of institutional knowledge and standard methodologies across the entire Partnerships team in an efficient manner.
