We are a Startup located in the center of Zürich that builds underwater drones. Our field of expertise is the development of highly integrated compact systems tailored to the challenges of turbid waters with high currents and complex environments – a distinction that designates us as pioneers in the underwater landscape.

From facilitating search and rescue missions to transformational advancements in industrial inspection, our technology pushes the boundaries of what is possible beneath the waves. We are hiring for a position at our site in Zürich, Switzerland.

We are supported by the Wyss Zurich Translational Center (Wyss Zürich), a unique accelerator program, which is embedded into ETH Zürich and University of Zürich and addresses the booming fields of regenerative medicine, robotics, and medical devices/bionic technologies.

Job description

Starting date: November 2024 or upon agreement.

As a Junior/Mid-Level Sales Representative at Tethys Robotics, you will report directly to the CEO as part of our business team and work closely with our external partners. You will strategically manage our sales funnel by identifying, acquiring, and managing relationships with customers. Representing Tethys Robotics with a hands-on work ethic at conferences, demonstrations, and customer visits will be an essential part of this role.

In your role you are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage our sales funnel by identifying and acquiring new customers and closing sales deals
  • Manage customer relationships and process customer feedback
  • Represent Tethys Robotics in customer conversations in person at international conferences, product demonstrations, strategically targeted customer visits, and online
  • Engage with our target audience by delivering top-notch product knowledge and product demonstrations to our customers
  • Support the business team with industry insights for Tethys Robotics’ successful positioning among target customers
  • Compile well-tailored sales decks for a variety of customer types
Profile

We care about your experience, ability and personality much more than your degrees.

This role requires:

  • 2+ years in sales of tech products (hard- or software)
  • Methodological, structured approach to customer acquisition
  • Profound experience in managing sales funnels on HubSpot
  • Experience in / affinity for operating technological hardware such as drones or similar
  • Flexibility and spontaneity for international business travels for multiple consecutive days
  • Driver's license for business travels by car
  • Ability and willingness to lift robot equipment
  • Joy in working in rough weather conditions
  • Full business proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Charismatic and convincing personality with the talent to captivate potential customers
  • Independence and self-initiative
  • Enthusiastic about working in a small, dynamic, fast-paced startup team

Ideally, your background entails an apprenticeship or academic record with a technical component such as Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or Poly Mechanics.

Bonus points if you bring
  • Existing profound network Western Europe, Northern Europe/Scandinavia, or the Middle East in one or more of the following industries:
    • Hydropower
    • Offshore Energy (Wind/Oil/Gas)
    • Unexploded Ordnance (UXO)
    • Underwater Maintenance Services
  • Commercial diver and/or motorboat license
  • Additional language skills in French or Arabic
  • A creative, different approach in “getting the job done”
