We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) at Schroders. This role focuses on the day-to-day support and service management of our core investment platform, Aladdin by BlackRock Solutions (BRS). In this dynamic environment, you will be responsible for managing Aladdin-related inquiries and service requests from stakeholders in Investment and Operations while closely collaborating with BRS to escalate and resolve issues, ensuring ongoing challenges are addressed effectively. This position is based at our Schroders Campus in Horsham, West Sussex, which serves as our EMEA Operations and Technology hub. About the Team
The Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) is a key function within our Operations division, reporting to the Global Head of Investment Services. We have a global remit to support the Investment, Dealing, and Operations functions within Schroders Asset Management and collaborate with various teams to implement change initiatives that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiencies, and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day service provision and management of the Aladdin platform in partnership with BRS.
- Respond to second-line Aladdin inquiries from users in Investment, Dealing, and Operations globally, with a primary focus on the EMEA region.
- Troubleshoot user inquiries and provide appropriate guidance.
- Manage Aladdin-related requests and escalate critical business issues to BRS for resolution.
- Coordinate the escalation of service incidents impacting vital business processes with internal teams and BRS.
- Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and senior management.
- Follow up on root cause analyses and recommend actions to mitigate future issues.
- Work collaboratively with ISPT, BRS, and Global Technology to reduce incidents and enhance platform capabilities.
- Ensure global coverage and efficient issue management in collaboration with team members in EMEA and the US.
- Generate insights to monitor BRS services in alignment with contractual SLAs.
Qualifications Needed
- Experience in an asset management firm, particularly within a front office environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of investment services platforms, with the ability to communicate effectively with third-party vendors, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of fund management processes and end-to-end Order/Trade workflows.
- Familiarity with a range of investment products and the dealing lifecycle of Equity, Fixed Income, and OTC derivatives is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and experience managing third-party portfolio, order, and execution management.
- Ability to define and articulate complex business challenges in the context of investment management.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, capable of meeting demanding deadlines.
