Intern Philanthropy (6 months)
Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units and include the Communications, Compliance, Corporate Office, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk and Tax departments.
A member of the Group Corporate Communications department, you will be joining the Pictet Group Foundation – a grant-making foundation established by the Managing Partners of Pictet as the concrete expression of the philanthropic tradition upheld by the Pictet since it was first established in 1805. The Foundation provides a corporate framework for the Group’s philanthropic activities.
You will be responsible for:
- helping the team to identify and oversee the Foundation’s portfolio of non-profit partnerships.
- assisting in efforts to further develop the tools used to monitor grants.
- contributing to work to enhance knowledge of the Foundation’s strategic thematic areas (Water and Nutrition).
- bolstering the Foundation’s internal and external communications efforts.
- providing support documents for presentations and Board meetings.
- Recent graduate (at least Bachelor’s degree) in International Development or Relations, Environmental Sciences, Economics, or a related field.
- Brief experience of working for a foundation, social enterprise or non-profit organisation; knowledge of planning, monitoring and evaluation instruments would be a plus.
- Keen interest in technology and social media communication as well as project management.
- At ease with PowerPoint design tools.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment and previous exposure to an international environment, either in a professional, academic or personal setting.
- English or French native speaker with a high level of fluency in the other language; knowledge of other languages would be a plus.
- Extracurricular activities in a specific field (academic, athletics, charitable causes, creative arts, etc.) would be major asset.
- Must be resident in Switzerland.

You want to be part of a team where you will be able to use your communication skills, particularly in writing, editing and presenting in English and French. You are enthusiastic, have an inquiring mind, are innovative and enjoy working as part of a team.
