IT Infrastructure Project Manager - new sites and rennovation
To help with new office builds and refurbishment, we are seeking an IT Network Infrastructure Project Manager for a 6-month assignment. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising new and existing infrastructure projects while managing internal and external technical resources to deliver projects according to plan.
Your key responsibilities will be
Project Planning and Management:
Manage current and review new project plans and monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Organise and lead project meetings to ensure project progress is communicated effectively throughout the immediate team and senior managers informed.
Risk Management:
Identify, analyse, and manage project risks, ensuring that they are effectively mitigated.
Develop and implement contingency plans as necessary to address potential challenges.
Resource Management:
Efficiently manage project resources, including team members, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal performance and project success.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and project management best practices.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful elements and areas for future improvement.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports for upper management regarding project status and milestones.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
You will be expected to have previous experience in working on greenfield or office refurbishment projects focusing on IT infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Video conferencing, Cabling, Servers.
Ideally, you will have project management certification (Prince2, PMP) and be used to working in a waterfall environment.
You will be technically minded, but not a hands-on engineer and so able to work with technical experts who will be responsible for assisting you in achieving the project objectives. You will, therefore, be at ease working with multi-skilled teams.
Fluency in English is essential with German and French a strong advantage.
This role is based on site with trips to sites across Europe likely towards the end of the year.
Due to the urgency of this position, we are only able to accept candidates based in Switzerland or from the EU. The ability to commute to the Rolle area is essential.
