We are offering this very exciting position in the greater Basel area.

The Head of Quality Assurance & Quality Management ensures the highest quality standards for all products and/or processes within the company. This role is responsible for managing quality assurance, leading the quality assurance team, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with both industry standards and customer expectations.

In particular this includes (but is not limited to) the following tasks:

• Ensures ongoing planning, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement and further development of quality (products, systems, and processes) for the product development, product procurement, and production (hardware and software).
• Prioritize customer satisfaction by efficiently processing material returns and implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues (quality control).
• Responsible for internal product / process audits and for implementing improvements throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Provides production support for compliance with RoHS, REACH, SVHC, POP, PFAS, and Conflict Minerals Regulation.
• Plays a key role in supporting the procurement team ensuring supplier compliance with quality, environmental, and regulatory standards through audits and contract management.
• Responsible for obtaining product approvals and serves as the primary contact for testing authorities (TÜV, UL, CSA, etc.).
• Demonstrated expertise in navigating EU regulatory requirements, including participation in standards committees and issuance of declarations of conformity.
• Directly leads 3 teams of people at the headquarters and at a subsidiary.
• Reports to the Head of Technology.

As the perfect candidate, you have the following qualifications and qualities:

• University degree in a technical field of study (electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics).
• Extensive experience and sound expertise in quality assurance management.
• 5+ years track record of a leading role as quality manager with experience in the field of quality, manufacturing, development in an international organization.
• Additional training in EMC, electrical safety, environmental management is an advantage.
• Experienced project manager with a track record of leading technical teams.
• Proven record in the development, implementation, and maintenance of management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High level of comprehension and analytical thinking.
• Solution-oriented personality with ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of relevant collaboration tools and quality management software.
• Business fluency in German and English is mandatory.
