Head of R&D High Voltage Components
For one of our clients are we looking for an experienced R&D Manager to oversee their research and development team in the manufacturing of high voltage accessories. The perfect candidate has solid experience in product design for high voltage cables, very good bringing solutions, and is able to lead and coach a team in an international context.
- Manage and coach the international R&D team in the development of new high voltage cables components and the improvement of existing products
- Supervise the complete product development lifecycle, from prototype through to production, secure all projects reach technical standards and customer requirements
- Work together with cross-functional teams as, sales, product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure perfect consolidation and dispatch of new products
- Stay in touch with industry trends, technical norms, and regulatory requirements to make sure compliance and innovation in product design
- Keep a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to be innovative
- Create and implement R&D strategies that range with our client’s overall business objectives
- Engage proficiently with stakeholders across all tiers, delivering project briefings, research insights, and strategic proposal
- Technical University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- Vast expertise in designing high voltage products, particularly high voltage components
- Demonstrated success in leading an R&D team within a global context
- In-depth understanding of industry norms and technical guidelines pertaining to high voltage products
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a strategic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Capability to guide and inspire a team to meet project objectives and deadlines
- English fluent, German (nice to have)
- Proficiency with project management tools and techniques
- Acquainted with advanced simulation and modeling programs
- Understanding of production processes for high voltage components
- Capability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and adjust to shifting priorities
