THE POSITION
As a Goods Movement Specialist, you will ensure the permanent, timely and correct inventory management of all mineral oil and biogenic products in our ERP systems. Your focus will be on recording goods movements in our terminals operating throughout Switzerland, comparing inventory against external inventory reports, and carrying out the month-end closing process.
As part of an international, entrepreneurial team, you will maintain a lively exchange of information with your colleagues within the entire VARO Group as well as IT service providers. Thanks to your strong Excel and IT skills, you will actively contribute to the digitization and further development of our tools and systems.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will check and register Varo & 3rd party stock movement incl CSO enabling optimization & resupply decisions, excise and invoice processes.
You act as the main contact person for the clarification of quantity differences and deviations vis-à-vis internal and external stakeholders.
You analyse the stocks in our ERP systems on a daily basis. In this case, if necessary. any differences that arise will be clarified and corrected by you.
On a monthly basis, you will carry out the monthly closing (inventory) for Switzerland.
You will be responsible for the assignment of product collections, including the necessary error clarification and contact assignment.
You will initiate master data changes related to stocked and transported products
You will create reports required by the front office based on system data.
You will participate in strategic work such as the proactive optimization and automation of processes and tools in the Goods Movement area.
YOUR PROFILE
You have successfully completed your studies or training in the field of supply chain or logistics. Ideally, you already have professional experience in logistics or supply chain management - preferably in the petroleum industry and/or in warehouse or quantity accounting.
You have a strong affinity for numbers and IT and problem-solving skills. You also enjoy working confidently in Excel.
You have the ability to communicate in a binding, friendly and clear manner and are an enthusiastic team player.
You develop initiative and act on your own responsibility, independently and in a structured manner. In addition, you think analytically, forward-looking and, above all, solution-oriented in a rapidly changing market environment.
Your communication skills are complemented by confident English skills.
OTHER ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS
Fluent in English and German.
Good command of analytic tools (Excel, BI, Statistic tools etc) and knowledge of ERP system (SAP, JDE…)
Solid, structured, analytical thinker
Bachelor or equivalent in Business administration, or Supply Chain management
