Job Purpose
The Global IT Project manager for Practice Management Software as part of the Enterprise Solutions Team is responsible for planning and overseeing projects, which can range from software implementation to software development projects and expand into adjacent customer projects within ES. She/he coordinates various stakeholders from customers, Straumann Group global and local organizations and processes to deliver larger software projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives. This role serves as a critical link between our product manager, development team, sales team, and our valued customers.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a framework to define project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities as well as resource requirements and managing availability and allocation for global practice management software projects.
- Coordinate different project stakeholders from customers, Straumann Group global and local organizations and development partners to deliver software projects for larger accounts with more than 15 practices on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.
- Guide and consult regions and country software sales in preparing detailed project plans to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities and manage the delivery of the project according to this plan.
- Enable teams to continuously track software / IT projects and provide regular reports on project status, scope and schedule to project team and key stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in larger roll-out, data migration and implementation plans.
- Global support for local teams on bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities and review of commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final offer to the customer
Education and work experience
- Master's or University degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceExperience in managing technical, cloud-based software requirements and in managing the implementation/roll-out of such solutions in medical or dental industry highly preferred.
- Experience in practice operations, workflow management and data-based business intelligence highly preferred.
- Sound commercial understanding and risk management skills paired with solid implementation experience of governance processes.
- Excellent communication and project management skills to manage clients and partners and gather deliverables from a range of internal and external stakeholders within pressurised schedules.
- Experienced interacting with cross-functional teams and able to approach and successfully communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with agile software development methods and business intelligence tools (PowerBI) desirable
- Experienced in working in a matrix organization and working in a global set up.
- Strong service skills and customer focus.
- Strong capabilities in English (speaking and writing), further languages a plus.
