Position Summary

As a "Global Aseptic Technology Packaging Specialist", you'll take on a new technical role and grow as a leader in a complex technology field. It also offers a unique opportunity for growth and leadership in a complex and strategic technology. The role involves diverse responsibilities, including on-the-ground training and support for factories, leading development projects with pilot plants and external partners, and contributing to technology roadmaps. Based in Konolfingen, Switzerland and you will report to the global packaging technology leader. As a core member of the Aseptic technology platform, you will have a global responsibility for all aseptic technologies and will interact with various Nestle businesses and allow you to drive new projects with passion to make a positive impact on important topics such as sustainability.

A Day in the Life of a Global Aseptic Technology Packaging Specialist

  • Lead development innovation projects on packaging technology and equipment.
  • Collaborate with external partners to co-develop and improve aseptic technologies.
  • Conduct feasibility trials and work cross-functionally on packaging and technology development projects.
  • Assist factories in developing competencies and providing technical assistance on existing and new installations.
  • Coach and provide technical support to project teams on new CAPEX projects.
  • Contribute to the development of equipment and material global standards.
  • Support improvement plans across factories and contribute to R&D events and workshops.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Aseptic community.

What will make you successful

  • Graduate in Engineering, preferably in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electronics or Automation.
  • Operational experience in food equipment:
    • Systematic and rigorous mind
    • Problem solving approach
    • Project management involving cross-functional teams
    • Supplier management
    • TPM and LEAN references
  • Good understanding of quality and manufacturing systems.
  • Proactive collaboration with the other technology platform core members.
  • Solid written and oral communicating skills, in English, associated with ability to facilitate, explain, coach and escalate wisely.
  • Interest in sharing your knowledge and experience and training others.
  • Open minded and driven by curiosity, always keen to learn new things and explore new opportunities.
  • Flexibility for business related travels (25%).

At Nestlé Research and Development in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland, we develop for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts for a broad range of products of our Nutrition, Dairy, Health Science and Coffee businesses. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories.
