Job Overview: As a FinOps/AWS Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing the financial operations related to AWS usage. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, excellent AWS skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in German.
Responsibilities:
Financial Optimization:
- Implement and maintain FinOps best practices to optimize AWS spending.
- Analyze AWS usage patterns and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting related to AWS expenses.
AWS Management:
- Monitor AWS infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and manage AWS cost allocation and resource tagging strategies.
- Stay updated on AWS pricing changes and assess their impact on the organization.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and engineering, to align FinOps practices with business goals.
- Provide financial insights to stakeholders, explaining cost drivers and suggesting optimizations.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of AWS architecture, expenses, and FinOps processes.
- Create reports and dashboards for financial and technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in FinOps practices and optimizing AWS costs.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, architecture, and pricing models.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher certification is a plus.
