EMEA Recruitment is working with a market-leading engineering and manufacturing business located in the Randstad/The Hague region, which is experiencing rapid growth.
This growth has been achieved both organically and via acquisitions. Due to this expansion, the company is seeking a Financial Controller with strong experience in accounting and reporting to lead financial activities across multiple European countries.
The ideal applicant will have a proven track record in financial control, specifically accounting and reporting, as well as excellent people leadership skills. Professional qualifications such as a Bachelor's, Master's, ACCA or a related certification are also favourable.
Key Accountabilities:
The Financial Controller will lead and manage a team of approx. 20 staff within the finance and accounting department with up to four direct reports
Lead and manage all finance and accounting activities across multiple European countries - Controlling and reporting
Lead and manage all activities related to audits and statutory compliance
Ensuring all financial operations operate efficiently, accurately, reliably and on time
Manage compliance with local financial regulations and accounting standards
Design and implement internal control systems safeguarding and ensuring the integrity of financial data
Requirements:
An Expert Financial Controller with experience leading small to medium-sized teams
You must demonstrate a strong background in accounting & reporting
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred or ACCA-qualified
Excellent IT and written/verbal communication skills – Fluent English is essential
Hands-on, proactive and a can-do attitude and experienced in senior stakeholder management
Based or willing to commute to The Hague or Randstad region (Netherlands)
The client is offering the following package:
€120,000 - €130,000 basic salary + package
25 days vacation leave + public holidays
Company bonus of up to 10%
Travel and commuting allowance
