Events and Communications Manager
The Quantum Center at ETH Zurich is the largest university center for quantum science and technology in Switzerland. It is the central hub for coordinating the scientific and structural activities in this field across ETH Zurich. It comprises of 38 member groups from 6 ETH departments, PSI and Empa, with a total of over 600 researchers.
The Quantum Center is seeking to hire a proactive and reliable Events and Communications Manager. This is a 40-60% position starting as soon as possible with a contract duration of 7-9 months due to maternity leave. This position is open to internal ETH candidates (such as PhD students/postdocs) and external candidates.
With the support of the Quantum Center Executive Office, you will contribute to the following tasks:
- Organisation of the Quantum Center’s internal events (seminars, colloquia, career events, social events, outreach events) with regards to catering & logistics, liaising with speakers, communication & advertising.
- Co-organisation of Swiss Quantum Days, a 3-day conference for the Swiss quantum community, along with the Quantum Centers of Basel, Lausanne and Geneva.
- Preparation of graphics and outreach materials for Quantum Center events and campaigns.
- Experience with event planning.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
