Purpose of the Role
The Equity Analyst (full-time role) is responsible for identifying company and sector-specific drivers and utilizing fundamental valuation skills to provide internal research reports and projections concerning companies. The job hold shall generate investment ideas, whilst staying abreast of industry news and catalysts to assess and relay their potential impact on equity securities. The job holder shall also regularly generate reports and presentations to support investment cases and portfolio allocation and evaluation.
Your Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
? Research securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations.; collect and interpret company data to facilitate recommendations
? Develop and write research reports and publications to be presented to managers ? Analyze data to identify emerging opportunities and risks ? Maintain constant coverage of industry-related news, trends, and developments ? Create and maintain earnings, valuation, and industrial models: input data into proprietary
financial models to create charts, dashboards and supporting material ? Build relationships with investor relations teams of portfolio’s companies to secure timely
updates ? Communicate with Managers over the investment recommendation and following-up on
requests and inquiries ? Provide BUY/SELL/HOLD recommendations and present findings to the investment committee ? Produce ad hoc internal reports and presentation concerning investment strategies, investment
cases, portfolio allocation and evaluation ? Backs up team members providing timely information around markets and investments to
managers and supporting the whole investment team in case of need
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline such as finance, accounting, economics, or business administration; Master’s degree or the CFA qualification would be an asset 3-5 years’ experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Asset Management, or any other equity related field Profound understanding of equity markets on a global level; deep understanding of fundamental analysis, financial modeling, asset allocation and strategy research Proficiency in Platform experience such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ; any other data mining software would be an asset
Strong quantitative skills; advanced Excel proficiency. 3+ years of practical experience of using Excel for building and maintaining financial models. AI skills are an asset
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders; open to
feedback and constructive debate
