Development Engineer Manufacturing Technologies (100%)
The Development Engineer Manufacturing Technologies will become a central knowledge carrier in the relevant manufacturing technologies for vacuum valves and the lead expert in technology topics during discussions with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
Lead Technology related innovation projects in collaboration with internal and external customers as well as suppliers
Identify customer requirements and translate them into specifications for VAT components and needed manufacturing processes
Develop & maintain interface to internal manufacturing and relevant lead suppliers
Extend network and partnerships with suppliers, customers, and R&D institutions
Acquire and document Technology Know-How about the usage & application within the Semi-industry (lithography, inspection, deposition, etch, etc.)
Link, consult and support the colleagues from the different Business Units, product management and development, simulation, production and test laboratory within VAT
Manage VAT’s manufacturing technology portfolio and guide to most promising future Technologies
Your qualifications:
MSc or PhD degree in mechanical engineering,materials scienceor equivalent, preferably with knowledge in coating technology
5+ years of relevant experience, favored if within the semiconductor industry
Knowledge in developing and implementing Technologies in a High Tech environment
Knowledge of semiconductor processes are beneficial (plasma etch, CVD, PVD and vacuum processes)
Good network with research partners to relevant technologies and ideally also within the semiconductor industry
English and German speaker, any other language will be considered advantageous
Willingness to travel(up to 20%)
