You own and drive Azure, API topics, data feeds, and micro-services for SWC, coordinating with Data Engineers, SWC division and manage the overall scope.
Make an impact with your analytical skills and drive innovation.
- Develop and use data science solutions from ideation to production and use them to derive insights or automate business processes.
- Proactively engage with business stakeholders and create opportunities for new data products or support already ongoing projects.
- Prepare and transform data, recommend improvements to the data landscape with a cloud first mindset.
- Visualize and interpret results, translate data into business language, present complex information to stakeholders.
- Be part of the data awareness campaign and data innovation within the company.
- Lead data transformation project; Manage and coordinate various tasks and stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Swiss WorldCargo (SWC) data architecture in collaboration with other IT departments and SWC

- Previous relevant working experience (1-3 years) in the area of data science
- Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and/or big data processing tools like Spark or Hive
- Experience in cloud computing is an advantage (Google cloud or Azure cloud)
- Microsoft Fabric knowledge is a plus
- Data engineering experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge and practical experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and project management
- Ability to familiarize yourself swiftly and independently with new topic areas
- Knowledge in BI Tools for interactive data visualization (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
- Written and spoken fluency in English and preferably also in German
