Compliance Officer
Our client, a multinational hospitality and vacation company, is expanding their in-house team by adding a new Chief of Compliance to their legal team. This individual will have an expansive and high-impact role within the organization ensuring the day-to-day operations of the company align with industry best practices within a company that promotes corporate integrity and a high standard of ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert on compliance matters ensuring comprehensive compliance and risk management programs are in place and operating effectively.
- Act as primary liaison to regulatory agencies and auditors for compliance examinations and audits and ensure prompt remediation of issues identified is conducted and documented.
- Manage the organization’s ethics and compliance programs and develop company policies and training material ensuring alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Maintain global privacy requirements and related and, in coordination with senior counsel, serves as a liaison to regulatory and data protection authorities for matters relating to privacy and data protection.
- Provide education, training, tools, resources, and other mechanisms that promote a culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior that upholds industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Must have JD and active U.S. bar admission, active and in good standing.
- 7+ years of compliance and/or privacy law experience including previous leadership experience with strong experience implementing companywide programs.
- Strong working knowledge or FCPA, CCPA, GDPR, US consumer protection laws and public company governance rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive internal and external stakeholders to a decision in a corporate environment.
- Either, ability to work hybrid on-site in Orlando-based headquarters OR willingness to travel quarterly to meet with team and drive interdepartmental relationship.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $200,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
