Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver general internship presentations for students on all campuses, as well as tutorials/workshops on specific subject areas including CV design, motivation letter correction, job search techniques, mock interviews and visas
  • Counsel and advise students on all campuses in their active search for an internship and communicates effectively and regularly with students about their progress
  • Provide Career Counselling to graduating students
  • Provide guidance and advice to students on CV and motivation letter design, interview technique, etc. as well as on visa procedures, as necessary
  • Provide support to students during internship, liaising with employers when necessary
  • Follow up on individual placement (verification, tracking etc.)
  • Prepare required documents such as contracts and attestations as well as any other documents as necessary
  • Ensure all student internships are properly registered and checked; and that their internships conform to the requirements set up by the CS and GIHE
  • Validate post-internship employer evaluations
  • Ensure all CID material is kept up to date, in cooperation with the whole CS team
  • Regularly collect data and prepare statistics on internship and graduate recruitment, as required by the department and other stakeholders
  • Attend relevant meetings and committees, including but not limited to Progression Panels and Program Committees
  • Handle management of and general administration related to Career Services Portal; as well as regular postings from employers and communications from students
  • Support Head of Career Services & Industry Relations in regular and ad hoc tasks
  • Support the Company Visit Programme (CVP) as required
  • Support team members in preparation of on-campus / online Career events, as required
  • Supervise and guides Career Services Advisors and Interns in daily tasks (where applicable)

Profile and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Human Resources or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, French highly desirable. Any additional language is an advantage
  • Similar experience in an educational environment is definitely a plus
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make presentations to different stakeholders (students, colleagues, Educational Counselors, etc.)
  • Ability to connect with and motivate students of all ages
  • Comfortable working in an international environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively at all times, particularly under pressure
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work autonomously
