The Business Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation is a business-facing procurement manager role dedicated to our growing BD Rowa (robotic storage and dispensing automation) business platform. The Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation is responsible to maximize BDs benefit for this business platform by driving strategic procurement initiatives across a variety of business dedicated suppliers and stakeholder groups (manufacturing, R&D, global customer services) with a focus to develop the capabilities and scalability of our supply base.
With powerful sourcing techniques and a strong approach for Supplier Relationship Management, vetted with key decision makers, the Business Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation will optimize the preferred supply base and deliver key results across the full value proposition of the Procurement staircase. With an emphasis on supply risk mitigation, cost management and top line revenue growth enablement the Business Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation will play an active role in driving supply base transformation and enhancing Procurement`s position as vital business partner.
As part of interdisciplinary teams the Business Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation will demonstrate end-to-end thinking and make a determining contribution to the rapid growth and performance of our EMI platform and thereby have a positive impact on patients and healthcare worldwide.
The Business Procurement Manager Pharmacy Automation will work closely with the global procurement community as well as cross-functional stakeholders within the business platform to identify and grow the supply base in EU LCC region and to take over responsibility for flawless end-to-end project transfer by building a strong governance within the assigned team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate BD Leadership Standards and Values
Lead assigned project team to implement cost reduction initiatives
Drive strategic initiatives and take ownership to drive supplier projects in the most efficient & effective way
Supplier relationship and contract management for assigned suppliers and development of multi-year value plans with preferred supply base
Source and deploy preferred supply base to new product development programs and ensure adherence to approved category strategies
Hands-on escalation support for critical supplier issues (delivery, cost, quality)
Support implementation activities for category strategies including overall project management, stakeholder communication, reporting and procurement aspects of supply market research, business requirements analysis, opportunity assessment, supplier identification, supplier selection, risk mitigation, negotiation and contract execution.
Achieve total cost savings, cash and supply chain risk mitigation targets as defined in the business strategic plans and agreed with the procurement leadership team
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Strong project management skills including governance (planning & monitoring)
Track record as people leader
Preferably minimum 3 years of (international) experience in a project management role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
Advanced negotiation skills and understanding of supplier/component cost structures
Strong story telling ability and presentation skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and to engage with different skill teams
Successful track record of strategic procurement initiatives with considerable business impact
