Back Office Operations Officer
On behalf of one of our clients, a global financial institution based in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Back Office Operations Officer to ensure smooth administrative and support functions within the institution.
This is a temporary position (100% workload) starting the 1st of September 2024 (flexible) and ending the 31st of March 2025.

Your Mission:
â?¢ Processing, confirmation and matching of transactions
â?¢ Investigating and resolving processing exceptions for non-standard or special operations (bonds, money market, FX, and derivative instruments)
â?¢ Investigating and resolving confirmation breaks and settlement failures together with the front office, custodians and customers
â?¢ Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of confirmations, settlements and payments
â?¢ Ensuring settlement instructions are kept up to date
â?¢ Creating, checking and maintaining bond definitions in the trading system
â?¢ Documenting processes and procedures as the need arises
â?¢ Acting as the main point of contact for internal customers with regards to certain activities
Your profile:
â?¢ Previous experience in Back or Middle Office in a financial institution
â?¢ Knowledge of financial instruments (bonds, FX, fixed income, money market, derivative instruments)
â?¢ General understanding and interest in IT and new technologies
â?¢ Familiarity with SWIFT messaging formats and/or Bloomberg
â?¢ Ability to be flexible, cooperative and a team player with customer focus
â?¢ Fluency in English
