AWS Cloud Support Specialist - Remote Europe
Are you passionate about cloud technologies and infrastructure automation? Do you have a deep understanding of containerization, CI/CD, and cloud best practices? We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the maintenance and enhancement of our client's complex web-based applications and databases. Your primary role will be to plan, manage, and ensure the seamless integration of IT support services, aligning them with users' needs and requirements.
Key responsibilities
-Troubleshooting & Support:
- Diagnose and resolve complex CI/CD issues.
- Provide expert technical support and customer service on IT matters to end-users and staff.
- Prioritise, plan, and resolve reported issues related to web-based applications and databases.
- Infrastructure & Automation:
- Design, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure using a fully automated approach.
- Implement tools for automation of configuration management, service catalogues, and other processes.
- Assist in building and migrating applications, software, and services following cloud architecture frameworks.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Consult with internal IT teams and external consultants to resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage the work of outsourced technical specialists when required.
- Develop and propose an IT support strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create, develop, and maintain support and instructional documentation.
- Plan, coordinate, and ensure training of staff and users on web-based applications and databases.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Strong hands-on experience in infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Deep knowledge of containerization techniques and best practices.
- Expertise in container orchestration tools such as Fargate and ECS.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud best practices.
- Desirable:
- Experience with Java and Angular.
- Knowledge of blockchain technologies.
This role is to work remotely and so candidates based within +/- 2 hours of Geneva are welcome to apply.
