We are looking for an audio development engineer who will contribute to the unique audio performance of our hearing solutions. In a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you support the collection of audio data, develop and conduct sound measurements and help to advance the audio settings of our hearing devices permanently. 

Your tasks 

• Measurement of acoustic performance of hearing devices in the laboratory involving
• Development of use-case specific measurement scenarios
• Evaluation and application of required tools and measures to characterize specific performance aspects of hearing devices in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Assessing the performance of devices using technical measures, performance prediction models or by creating perceptual evaluation studies with listener panels
• Documentation of performance profiles and presentation to stakeholders

Sounddesign/ Study support

• Recording, postproduction, and reproduction of audio scenarios for multichannel audio reproduction systems for clinical studies and product demonstrations
• Creating sound demonstrations in close collaboration with marketing
• Supporting hardware selection and set-up of events and demonstration

Tools and Methods

• Set-up and maintenance of hardware- and software-based audio development tools, technical measurement tools for assessing audio settings, test- and demonstration environments. 
• Development and evaluation of measurement tools and predictive models.

Your profile 

• University degree (MSc/BSc) in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent 
• Experience with audio editing software, scientific audio analysis and measurement tools (e.g., Matlab/Python) 
• Knowledge in software development (scripting, procedural as well as object-oriented programming) 
• Solid knowledge in audio signal processing
• Solid experience with video recording/editing 
• Basic knowledge in psychoacoustics and hearing
• Experience with live audio events (e.g., concerts, TV productions) is a plus 
• Systematic approach, strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Reliable team player, willing to work in interdisciplinary teams 
• High quality awareness
• Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in German is a plus
