Internship: Organization of a Major Event in Artificial Intelligence (9 months, 80-100%)

We are looking for an intern for the organization of a major event in the field of artificial intelligence.

In this internship you will help to prepare and organize the Swiss NLP Days 2025, which we expect to be the largest event in the field of automatic Natual Language Processing (NLP) in Switzerland ever.

The Swiss NLP Days will take place in Winterthur in June 2025 and we expect over 600 visitors from industry and science. They are organized by the Swiss Association for Natural Language Processing. You will complement the organizing team with your skills and take on independent areas of the organization.

Your specific tasks will depend on your interests and previous knowledge and may include the following:

• Marketing campaigns (social media marketing, Google AdWords)
• PR/Marketing
• Website development
• Press relations
• Communication with potential exhibitors from industry and science
• Any other tasks that are necessary to organize a successful major event.

As we are a small company, you can also get involved in various other activities of the company, e.g. in a data collection of Swiss German audio recordings or in setting up a new product for language learners in Switzerland.

As an intern, you will work closely with researchers from various universities (especially the ZHAW) and the management of SpinningBytes and play a key role in shaping the future of our young and dynamic company. You will gain insights into exciting new technologies such as ChatGPT at the forefront of current technological possibilities and deal with AI experts from different industries and with a diverse background.

Your skills:

You are a very open-minded, communicative and customer-oriented person.
Fluency in German and English is essential. Speaking Swiss German is helpful, but not a must.
Ideally, you have knowledge of some of the following topics: Social media marketing, press relations, WordPress, Google Adwords campaigns, Twitter/X, email marketing.
A plus is if you already know what natural language processing (NLP) or machine learning is.
If you don’t cover all the requirements, that’s no problem – you’ll learn that during the internship.

Your skills:
