As Innovation Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, you will create innovative mechanical design work within Ovivo’s innovation department. You will be responsible for key engineering contribution to develop the Ovivo technology into future range of products and solutions.

The company is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with good public transport connection (Tram 10) and free car parking. The role will require some international travelling.

What is the role?

• Innovative mechanical design work within Ovivo's innovation department
• Key engineering contribution to develop Ovivo technology into future range of products / solutions
• Interest in supporting the team with the monitoring, product testing and industrialization process
• Preparedness to be hands-on in building prototypes and pilots
• Benchmark analysis
• Remain updated on technologies and advancements in current scope of work
• Develop future knowhow for the company and further activities to be defined within the evolution of Ovivo
• Analyse and communicate results in written reports and technical papers and also oral presentations
• Literature and web search for related technologies
• Possibility to advance to Product Management

Does this sound like you?

• You have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• You have professional experience (3-5 years)
• You have strong analytical skills in mechatronics, expertise in hydraulics / fluidics
• You are disciplined, have strong scientific and analytical and contemplative skills
• You are fluent with professional engineering software (3D AutoCAD) and have experience with 3D rapid prototyping designs
• You have practical experience and strong problem-solving skills in mechanical / electronics or related field
• You have the willingness to develop leadership skills
• You are prepared to travel worldwide to meet our clients
• You have a self-starter, self-initiative and creative personality, you are flexible and able to work under pressure
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written). German and French are an added value
