Manufacturing, Test (Quality Control) and Extrusion technician (f/m)

Acrostak is active in development, manufacturing and distribution of medical devices used for interventional cardiology. Our products comprise different types of angioplasty catheters to open occluded vessels as well as other high-tech devices in the field of minimally invasive interventions

In order to strengthen our quality team in Winterthur, Switzerland, we are looking for a:

Manufacturing, Test (Quality Control) and Extrusion technician (f/m)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Inspection and Testing: Conducting inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
• Problem Resolution: Identifying and addressing quality issues, working with other departments to resolve them effectively.
• Executing and reporting on lab bench-testing - Support R&D with the development during verification and validation processes according to standards.
• Learn the plastic tubing extrusion process for internal production with quality control, and maintenance of the extrusion line. Execute and report on bench-testing.
• Work on the extrusion line part-time.

Your profile:

• Technical education in mechanical engineering (apprenticeship).
• Hands-on experience with assembling and / or testing systems under development.
• 1 or 2 years of experience is an advantage but not necessary a requirement.
• Field knowledge as Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry or related scientific disciplines is an advantage
• Technical skills: knowledge of Quality Control Processes.
• Analytical skills: Data analysis and ability to interpret data related to quality control.
• Spoken and written English and German.
• Ability to efficiently manage multi-tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Team player with strong communication skills.
